We are looking to replace the beds at the shelter.  If you would like to donate a Kurunda bed to our shelter please https://shelterbeds.org/donate/402520

Should you find or lose a dog we recommend first calling the non-emergency number 503-815-1911.

Dogs found running at large are lodged at our shelter and held for 5 days for the owner to claim, after which they become property of the shelter and are available for adoption.

Fees for reclaiming a dog are as follows: County impound fee of $30 (fee covers the hours put in by Law Enforcement and is charged for each impound), plus Tillamook K9 intake fee 1st impound $25, 2nd $75, 3rd $150. For dogs staying over 24 hours there is a $20 boarding fee for each day the dog is at the shelter.

For release we require proof of ownership, this includes current license and Rabies Vaccination.  This is to protect you and your dog.  Should you not have proof of rabies we require a pre-bought rabies appointment with your vet.

Our main goal is always to get dogs back to their families!

About Us

Tillamook K9 Rescue is the main provider to assist Law Enforcement with found dogs throughout Tillamook County.

If Law Enforcement responds to an emergency where an owner may need to be taken to the hospital for treatment or possibly arrested, any dogs in residence will be delivered to the kennel for their safety and care.  If a dog needs to be trapped we will work with the community and Law Enforcement to make sure that dog has a safe place to decompress while we search for their owner.

We rely deeply on the help of our volunteers to care for the dogs, and our staff handles intake, adoptions and releases.  We hold the animals for 7 days and if we aren't able to find the owners we then place them up for adoption.  While a dog is in our care they receive 2 meals a day, any needed medical attention, and our volunteers come out to the rescue for multiple shifts throughout the day to ensure the dogs are socialized, exercised and loved.

Your donation goes directly to the care of the dogs at our facility.
